Day 29, As It Is Happening, Rest stop in uthah,2:30

First rest stop we came to in five hours after long hot drive through desert. Almost stopped at Area 51 to hitchhike a ride to Zion but no aliens available, although everything on this trip is alien to me.

Nice impromptu ad hoc rest stop here . Shade, breeze, grass, plus some alien creatures to keep Donner's attention focused, horses and cows, but no bison or dogs. Had to order more meds for Donner to ship en route.

It was sad to leave Death Valley. Not only the beauty and relaxed pace, but the new friends we made there, human and canine. But the road beckoned, so we moved on. Next stop, a camp outside the gates of Zion, a quick drive through tomorrow, and then the Grand Canyon north. After that, who knows? We go where the road takes us. Going from 90s today to 30s tonight.
