Day 25 photo, Death Valley at last
We arrived at camp at 3:30, right on schedule. It was a long 258 mile drive, but unbelievably scenic the entire way, an empty straight shot road with not a single traffic light the entire way. The temperature actually hit 100 here today, and there are advisories posted to not walk after 10 am and to drink a gallon of water a day. There are reasons this place is called Death Valley. Despite the heat, or maybe because of it, we really lucked out on a campsite, i mean big time. Here is a photo of our campsite just before sundown. More photos of the drive down to come. What is different about the tent?
