Day 26 photo, Donner had a hard day today

Here i am, working like a slave outside, and this guy is long sacked out. It warms my heart. Next week,we will pass the point where he has been with me longer than his four years chained up in those Los Angeles back yards. Every day, i swear I can hear him say to himself, "This sure beats those backyards in Los Angeles."

It is a beautiful night tonight, low 60s and a gentle breeze. Last night during a strong — but welcomed—wind all night, i woke up several times, but without the rainfly on, i could follow the moon's trajectory across the roof of my tent. Pleasant. Ever been to the moon? The Defender has, well, not quite. Donner's 28,000 miles of road trips has only taken him around the earth once.
