120 miles down, 130 to go.
Bitter cold this morning at Crater Lake this morning, below freezing. You have two choices to break camp when that happens: speed up or slow down. I opted for the latter and got off at 10. These trips are nothing more than a series of tradeoffs.
Absolutely beautiful full moon last night, peaking through the forest trees and reflecting on Lake Lemolo. It was nothing short of magnetic. I almost felt like getting into the Defender and heading for it. I wondered if the Donner would make it that far.
On the road to Death Valley, still two days away. I opted for the back-roads route - more interesting. It's pleasant driving through these small towns and seeing how other people live their lives.
